Tom Moore’s Tavern in Hamilton Parish, Bermuda is widely recognized as the pinnacle of Bermuda dining choices. On their website, they say they are Bermuda’s Oldest Eating House, circa 1652. The home of fine dining in elegant surroundings. The general manager, Bruno, is quite a character and a well respected restauranteur in the Bermuda community.
When I was lucky enough to last dine at Tom Moore’s, I started with a nice Spinach Salad with Goat Cheese and Raspberry Vinagerette, then had Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Potato Bacon Cheddar Tart, Asparagus and Zucchini Gratin and a Rosemary Jus. Wow. It was a true delight if not a bit filling. Not so much to stop me from having a Butterscotch Creme Brulee, Carmelized Banana Dessert!
The service from the time you enter the door until the time you leave is exquisite. The food? A dream. You must try this place next time you can afford it!
